Most successful tobacco products talk of the incomparable flavour, taste and feeling. They talk of how their products are made using the best tobacco money can buy. And when they talk like that, it makes us mighty proud. Because, that tobacco is exported by us. Tobacco that is grown with a passion akin to tending one's garden. Tobacco that has been sun dried, cured, graded, sorted and packed to retain the flavour that is sought the world over. And now we use the same tobacco flavoured to produce the incomparable AFZAL MOLASSES.

The Company ...

Sopariwala Exports - the first Indian name in quality exports of natural produce. In 1972, it was our dream. Today, it is our proud achievement. From the ancient fields of tobacco to the modern-day plant using environment-conscious methods to give socially accepted products, we have indeed come a long way in this occupation. What was once a family business, is now the largest Indian exporter of both, sun-cured as well as air cured tobacco and is widely known for the finest unmanufactured Indian tobacco leaves, bidis, oilseeds, spices and fresh-cut flowers.

We have reason to be pleased. What began as a modest family business has mushroomed into a giant supplier of tobacco to world-renowned clients, and continues to expand.

Tobacco, Oil seeds, Spices, Rice, Roses and Handcrafted Flavoured Filtered Cigarettes(bidis) are the chief products that are grown and exported by us. Raw as well as sun-cured tobacco and its varieties, and an assortment of tobacco products leave our state-of-the-art processing house and get transported in perfect condition to countries worldwide.

In early 2002, Sopariwala launched Soex, a new cigarette brand with a cotton filter that is available in several different flavours viz. chocolate, menthol, vanilla, wild cherry, strawberry, coffee, lime-lemon, raspberry, clove, black licorice and many more natural flavours. It exports some 2.5 billion bidis per year, mostly to Indian expatriate communities in the Middle East and, increasingly, in the United States, where bidis have become a bit of a fad in recent years.

Tobacco is bound to remain one of the main pillars of Sopariwala’s activities. The Company continues to develop new products in this segment. We are glad to introduce to you "AFZAL MOLASSES" - tobacco for use in a hubble-bubble (a Turkish water pipe), with apple, strawberry, mixed fruit, Aniseed and other natural flavours.

Today, the Company is India’s largest exporter of sun/ air-cured tobacco. Sopariwala processes and packs about 25,000 tons of tobacco per year. Its largest markets are Europe, the Middle East, Russia, the United States and South Africa. Of course, success didn’t materialize overnight. The Company’s current strong position is a result of years of hard work, persistence and sound marketing vision.
